First time startup: how do you get over your fear of leaving a cushy job?

I currently have a very cushy job in my industry and have been creating projects part time on the side for several months. The idea was to throw as many things against the wall as possible and see what sticks.

And one project seems to be working.

It's generating about 1/4 the money I make from my job. I could possibly quit my job, live below my means and continue to bootstrap the business off that 1/4 amount.

But fear is getting in the way.

The fear that it will fail and then I won't be able to get my job back either.

How would you get over your fear of failing and leaving a regular job to grow a startup that might have potential?
