Online Meeting Software for a Startup

3

There are 5 other members in the startup and they work in different locations. We are looking for online meeting software suitable for a small distributed workforce. It has to support at least voice chat and screen sharing.

Which online meeting software do you recommend?

How about Google+ Hangout.
We use it in many occasion for user group meetups.

It's free. It supports screen sharing. You can add up GoogleTalk messenger as well.

  • At first I doubted the features in Google+ Hangouts. But I've just tried and I love it! In Google+ Hangouts extras have most of features I want. – Ryan Rho 12 years ago
  • I've tried this in the meeting but voice was a bit choppy and some members were frequently disconnected. So we switched to Skype + Mikogo for now. But definitely Google+ Hangout Extras has great potentials. – Ryan Rho 12 years ago

We usually use Skype and Teamviewer - skype for the voice chat, and with Teamviewer you can even share screens for free!

Stick with the basics: Skype for voice chat and Join.me for screen sharing.

  • If you would like to stick to Skype, I would recommend you to use Mikogo for screen sharing. You have to pay Join.me to change the presenter. – Ryan Rho 12 years ago
  • Our team loves join.me, but I'll check that out too. Thanks! – Joe A 12 years ago
  • Join.me has great UI and is easy to use. I would use join.me if you don't have to switch the presenter. If you do need to switch the presenter, Mikogo will be great, but its UI is a bit clunky. Happy video conferencing :) – Ryan Rho 12 years ago

buzzumi.com is audio and video chat in the browser and you can share pdfs and youtube videos.
Disclaimer: I work for them.

  • It seems to be great for another purpose, but I found some limitations on screen sharing for advanced video conference. I like the simple design thought. Keep up the good work! – Ryan Rho 12 years ago
