Should startups accept Bitcoins as a payment method?

What are some pros and cons for Saas startups to accept Bitcoin as an optional payment method?

Also, is there something as easy to integrate as Stripe for accepting Bitcoins?

Ask yourself these questions:

1. Does a significant amount of my customer base really want to pay in Bitcoin?
2. Will they take their business elsewhere if they cannot pay in Bitcoin?

If the answers are both "yes", you should probably start offering Bitcoin as a payment option.

If either answer is "no" - move on and focus on building your product/business/sales.

Looking at how easy it is to integrate into your app, you don't even have to think about it... just add it and see if customers use it. Give it at least a month to see if there is customer interest in paying with bitcoins.
