Pretend that it is printed -- and purchase an advertisement on LinkedIn. Search and find the perfect people and invite them to carry your product.

If you have to do a printed magazine your best bet will be the industry magazines which I assume since it is your market you would already know:
- Water Conditioning & Purification Magazine (www.wcponline.com)
- Water Technology Online (http://www.watertechonline.com/)
Both have classified sections.

Be sure that you are posted the ad on your own marketing site and through your own networks. Ask for referrals.

Recruiting resellers or reps is selling a business opportunity. It is a B2B sales campaign. It needs to be organized and supported as such.

  • THE CHALLENGE in posting an ad is that Water professional magazines are mostly visited by TECHNICAL professionals in this same industry. In this case I am looking for business partners who are either individuals or organizations which are prepared to invest in sales and marketing activities and/or conduct sales and marketing activities of my products such that their investment(s) would be their investment into their own business rather than an investment into my business. – Dom 13 years ago
  • @Dom -- you know your industry best. Making the sort of investment that you are referencing would require some understanding and connection to the industry. My assumption is that those folks are reading the industry publications. The general sales and marketing magazines will not target your audience and will be a waste of money. IF, based on your understanding the industry magazines are not a good source of leads for people selling into the industry-- then I have significant doubts that any print based advertising is the right strategy for your B2B sales campaign. – Joseph Barisonzi 13 years ago
