Visual: images & video in content

People are more engaged when there are pictures and videos in content. Since most people skim content, the visual elements are a must to get your message accross.

Mobile first

Make sure your content is mobile friendly. I would say that at least half of consumable content gets read on mobile devices (Flipboard, Prismatic, etc). So making sure your content displays properly on those channels is super important.

Helpful, unique, and emotionally engaging

Those are the key ingridients to keep in mind when creating content. If you're going to put out bland content, you're going to get a bland response.
