I have seen both short landing pages that just ask for the email address (squeeze pages) and ridiculously long sales letter type landing pages. What are some good examples of both that convert well?
I'm fairly new to copywriting so want to learn by example. Studying existing pages that convert for others seems like a good way.

Typically, short form landing pages work well for email-based traffic. People clicked on an impulse so they want to be sold on an impulse (short, quick sales pitch).
Long form landing pages work better for search traffic, ppc, etc. People went out of their way to search to begin with so they want to read, they want longer, more detailed sales pitches.
